Globe Ignites Filipinos’ Everyday Potential Through 5G Energy Missions

5G is more than a speed upgrade but a catalyst for unlocking potential, creativity, and connection in real time. This was symbolized when Globe recently powered up BGC with a high-energy showcase designed to demonstrate how its superior 5G network elevates the everyday experience of Filipinos.

The event kicked off with the unveiling of the Globe 5G Energy Meter at the Uptown Mall in BGC. This launch served as the official start to a series of action-packed missions designed to immerse communities in the possibilities unlocked by Globe 5G, with Globe having the widest 5G coverage in the Philippines, based on analysis by Ookla ® of Speedtest Intelligence.

Participants embarked on five missions, all tied to everyday lifestyles now supercharged by 5G:

First, the Globe 5G EnergyTok, where creators unleashed their best moves on TikTok, fueling a branded challenge with a target of 500 entries. With Globe 5G, uploads stayed crisp, instant, and scroll-stopping. Next was the Globe 5G Hyper Move, where fitness enthusiasts put their wearables to work, targeting 500,000 collective steps across BGC, proving how 5G-enabled devices can hyper-boost wellness journeys with real-time tracking.

Another mission was the Globe 5G Building Craft, where teams from universities such as University of Santo Tomas, Asia Pacific College, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Mapua University, collaborated to build a Globe 5G interactive city, spotlighting how fast, reliable Globe 5G accelerates creative and collaborative play.

There was also the Globe 5G Quiz Off, where viewers tuned in for a live digital quiz bee, aiming for 500 participants and 500,000 livestream views, demonstrating how Globe 5G powers real-time interactivity with zero lag.

Lastly, the Globe 5G Live Streak, a special payday device live selling session together with official 5G device partner Xiaomi, challenged viewers to hit 100,000 likes and 50,000 comments, underscoring how 5G amplifies engagement for creators and sellers.

As all missions were successfully accomplished, Globe awarded 5G-ready learning devices  to beneficiary schools as part of the closing ceremony, which included schools such as Rizal High School in Pasig City, Signal Village National High School in Taguig City, and General Pio del Pilar High School in Makati City. These 5G-ready learning devices are a nod to Globe’s commitment to expanding digital inclusion and supporting students’ potential with advanced connectivity.

“Every upgrade should empower people to do more and be more,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Chief Marketing Officer. “These missions are our way of showing Filipinos what’s possible when everyday life runs on Globe 5G.”

“5G is no longer a future upgrade but a performance advantage people can use today through both broadband and mobile,” added Darius Delgado, Globe Chief Commercial Officer. “From gaming to learning to creating, upgrading to Globe 5G lets customers unlock better experiences instantly, whether you’re at home or on the go.”
