Movie Review: GOAT

As a small girlie, this film really spoke to me. Especially since, as a student nurse, my height was always a concern when it came time to decide whether I should move on to the next year—no, really. Not that I got a chance to prove that I could still succeed as a nurse, just that yes, I know what it’s like to be teased (trust me, I’ve heard everything), judged, and underestimated because of my height.

The animation was very dynamic. The humor can be appreciated by both kids and their parents when they take them to see the movie. I would have loved to see a “training montage” showing how Will Harris (Caleb McLaughlin) became so good.

I loved feeling the audience’s held breaths during those make-or-break, shoot-or-miss moments, and hearing their cheers and applause after-yes, from both the children and the adults.
