Movie Review: PRIMATE

Killer chimp, teenagers in swimsuits in a remote location, what can go wrong, right?

Primate delivers on its promise of edge-of-your-seat suspense, nail-biting moments, and raw gore so good you will still see them long after the credits have rolled (even if you don’t want to).

We haven’t had a good creature feature in a long time, and ‘Primate’ fills that void so well that you would probably develop an aversion to chimps for a while.

There’s not much in terms of plot, themes, and character development. This is the type of film where you leave logic at the door and just enjoy the screams and thrills.

There are many disturbing, spooky images shot from unique angles (under the pool) to further fuel your nightmares.

The decision to use practical effects helped dial up the horror factor to a hundred.
