HERE & NOW Wraps Up Emotional Trilogy with New Single “Paalam”

November 27, 2025 – HERE & NOW wraps up 2025 with the release of their third single, “Paalam,” completing the emotional trilogy that began with “Himala” and continued through “Kahapon.” The track immediately made an impact, debuting on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines playlist. Known for blending modern rock, metal influences, and melodic emotional storytelling, the band delivered their most vulnerable release yet—exploring acceptance, closure, and the courage to move forward.

Written collectively by the band, with guitarist Patrick Poblador leading production and arrangement, “Paalam” reflects the difficult human moment of finally deciding to let go. “Paalam was inspired by the struggle of going through rough times, internally and externally—those seconds where you’re still holding on even as you’re already saying goodbye. It’s a reflection on acceptance, closure, and the kind of peace that only arrives after everything falls apart,” says Paco Santos, the band’s vocalist.

The single closes the narrative that began with HERE & NOW’s first two 2025 releases: “Himala” explored unexpectedly falling in love, “Kahapon” reflected the struggle of letting go, and “Paalam” marks the turning point where acceptance arrives and a new chapter begins.

Musically, the band leaned into a rougher, more energetic sound, reconnecting with their pop-punk roots. Vocal production incorporated backing vocals by Patrick Poblador and Allen Guarnes, adding dynamic layers to the song. “Paalam leans into a more raw and aggressive sound, drawing from our pop-punk roots. Vocal production was so much fun, especially working hand-in-hand with another singer in the group, which resulted in that vocal line in the second verse,” Paco shares. The use of Tagalog also adds a raw, direct emotional weight, making the lyrics honest and impactful. “Writing in Tagalog made everything feel more raw and direct. It allowed us to be more poetic without being complicated, and more honest without over-explaining,” he adds.

HERE & NOW—the band comprised of vocalist Paco Santos, guitarists Patrick Poblador, Allen Guarnes, Lance Camposano, bassist Gab Palanca, and drummer Franco Aguila—plans to release a visualizer alongside the single, tying together all three 2025 releases into a singular narrative concept. “There will be a visualizer for Paalam combining the trilogy of singles into a singular narrative concept. Each tune stands on its own but is part of a shared emotional arc across three songs,” Paco says.

The band hopes the track resonates deeply with people who are healing or processing change. “We hope they feel understood. Whether they’re healing from something recent or going through rough times, we want Paalam to feel like a companion during that vulnerable space,” he notes. Fans can also expect more live shows around the city, along with the band’s first official merchandise.

Reflecting on 2025, the band experienced a formative year, playing some of their biggest shows, refining their sound in the studio, and connecting with a growing listener community. With “Paalam” closing one chapter, HERE & NOW is now focused on new material, collaborations, and preparing for a full album in 2026. “Paalam marks the end of one emotional chapter and the beginning of a more expansive one. We’re working on new material that pushes our sound further—including collaborations and more live sessions,” Paco concludes.

“Paalam” is out now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major streaming platforms.
