July 11, 2025 — The chart-topping, arena-filling Kingfishr are firmly established as Ireland’s biggest breaking artist of 2025. Already stars in their homeland, they’re quickly going global too. They’ve joined the lineage of bands whose Irish roots have helped them connect with an ever-growing North American audience, as demonstrated by their recent sold-out debut headline tour – and with another now confirmed. They’re quickly scaling up in the UK, with their two biggest London shows so far scheduled for the autumn. And they’re also progressing across mainland Europe too. The August 22nd release of ‘Halcyon’ will cement their rise, which they now preview with the new single ‘Next To Me’.

With ‘Next To Me’, Kingfishr have crafted a love song with a timelessness that feels as if it has always existed. Beating with an Irish heart and a broader contemporary folk-pop sound, its lyrics are sincere and unambiguous with words of devotion. But as with the best of love songs there’s an undercurrent of uncertainty: will doing my best be enough to keep this love alive? Eddie Keogh’s vocal also comes from a different place to what we’ve come to expect, his gritty tone now complemented by the pure, soulful feeling that he expresses.

Eddie says, “It’s a love song, we’ve never really done a love song. It’s very, very hard to do something that’s been done a million times in a legitimate way, but we’ve given it our best. We’re all now in relationships so we have a little bit of experience on the topic.”

Completed by bandmates Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath and Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon, KIngfishr have maximised anticipation for the release of their debut album ‘Halcyon’. They’ve become a huge live draw, able to connect with everyone in the room at arenas while also bringing the party to late night pub jam sessions and impromptu public singalongs. But that life-affirming energy also translates to the intimacy of listening on headphones, too, with 130 million+ streams to date. Every track that has previewed ‘Halcyon’ has been impactful, from the multi-Platinum Irish #1 smash ‘Killeagh’ through to ‘Diamonds & Roses’, ‘Man On The Moon’ and ‘Gloria’.

‘Halycon’ is available to pre-order HERE. Kingfishr’s official store offers two limited edition formats which add a signed postcard: a stone-coloured vinyl and a CD.

Kingfishr’s already extensive global touring for the rest of the year has been boosted with the confirmation of both a new North American headline tour as well as a run of dates as guests to Dylan Gossett – their first Stateside shows since selling out their debut headline tour there earlier this year. All roads then lead to their two-night stand at Dublin’s 3Arena, where they will play to a total of 26,000 fans. Their tour dates are listed below, please see HERE for remaining tickets.
