July 15, 2025 — If you’ve ever cried in a bathroom mirror whispering “I swear I’ll do better” — NEW LORE just turned that moment into a song.
“OH MATURITY,” the latest gut-punching alt-pop single by Filipino electropop trio NEW LORE, is out now on all platforms. Written by visual artist and vocalist Tita Halaman, with sonic layers sculpted by drummer Carole Lantican, it’s a vulnerable confession dressed in glitchy beats, deep bass, and regret. Think love letter meets spiral. A song for anyone who’s messed up, owned it, and tried to grow anyway.
And that’s just the icing.
Because on August 1, NEW LORE will release their long-awaited debut album, “grief cake” — an 8-track swirl of heartbreak, healing, and hope that tastes like pop but hits like poetry. Each track is a layer. Each lyric? A knife in the frosting.
To celebrate, they’re throwing a party that feels like a breakdown… but fun.

grief cake isn’t just an album. It’s a hug for your inner child and a slap to your inner saboteur. It’s for the romantics with rage, the loners with playlists, the kids who cry in the club then sketch it later.
Once known as No Lore, the band reemerges as NEW LORE: more sugar, more sting. The trio composed of Tita Halaman, Kim Escalona, and Carole Lantican, they make songs that feel like living paintings. Emotional. Surreal. A little chaotic.
So come. Eat the grief cake. Cry a little. Dance a lot.
Because maturity is overrated, but growth is kinda hot.
Stream the full “grief cake” album on August 1.
And see you at The Astbury on August 2 for the happiest grief party ever
