November 19, 2025 — Sugarcane is set to captivate listeners once again with the release of their highly anticipated new EP, Memory. Releasing on November 21, 2025, the EP is a heartfelt exploration of the multifaceted nature of love, its highs, lows, and everything in between, solidifying the band’s reputation for crafting music that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.
At its core, Memory delves into the emotional imprints relationships leave behind. The collection of songs masterfully captures the exhaustion of holding on, the bittersweet ache of letting go, the intimacy of true connection, and the haunting pull of unresolved feelings. Each track adds a different perspective, creating a narrative arc that mirrors the realities of love and paints a vivid picture of different life scenarios, offering a deeply personal exploration of what love truly means and how it shapes our lives.
Memory EP showcases Sugarcane’s versatility, moving seamlessly between tender, introspective ballads and vibrant, upbeat arrangements. While the melodies are rich with warmth and nostalgia, the lyrics dive straight into raw vulnerability, reflecting the band’s commitment to honest storytelling. The fusion of Sugarcane’s signature sound with such honest, emotional lyrics has resulted in a body of work that resonates long after the last note, much like the memories it draws inspiration from.

“Memory”, the EP’s title and focus track, is a collaboration between Sugarcane and The Ridleys, one of the top indie bands in the OPM scene today. “Memory” talks of coming to terms with a love that couldn’t endure. It portrays the process of finding closure after a relationship ends, illustrating the emotional complexity of moving on from someone once deeply cherished, now cherished only in memory.
To celebrate Sugarcane’s first EP, a launch party with ‘Sugarfolks’, the collective name for Sugarcane’s fanbase, will happen on the day of its release at Soundcheck Studios in Pasig. Guest artists The Ridleys and Quite Natural are also set to perform. This will also be the first time “Memory” will be played live by Sugarcane and The Ridleys, an event that fans truly wouldn’t want to miss!
With Memory, Sugarcane reaffirms their ability to transform personal experiences into songs that speak powerfully to a wider audience. It is more than just an EP; it is a soundtrack to moments of longing, healing, and rediscovery. Fans and new listeners alike are invited to dive into this compelling narrative of human connection.
