CROSS-CULTURAL ROMANTIC COMEDY “MERRY BERRY LOVE” (WORKING TITLE) COMING 2026 TO DISNEY+

The Upcoming Series Stars Korea’s Ji Changwook And Japan’s Mio Imada In A Cross-Cultural Romcom About Finding Love On A Remote Japanese Island

PHILIPPINES (NOVEMBER 13, 2025) – Earlier today, Disney+ announced Merry Berry Love (working title), a brand-new romantic comedy about a down on his luck Korean spatial designer and a strawberry farmer, will be coming to Disney+ in 2026.

Announced on stage during the Disney+ Originals Preview at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Merry Berry Love (working title) is across-border romantic comedy currently being shot across both Korea and Japan.

Starring Korea’s Ji Changwook (The Manipulated, The Worst of Evil) as Korean spatial designer Lee Yubin, and Japan’s Mio Imada (Tokyo Revengers) as strawberry farmer Karin Shirahama, Merry Berry Love (working title) is directed by Kim Soojung (Semantic Error) and written by Lee Jaeyoon (Divorce Insurance) and developed and produced by CJ ENM (Parasite, Queen of Tears) and co-produced by Nippon TV

Held on November 13 at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the 2025 Disney+ Originals Preview showcased the creative momentum of The Walt Disney Company, giving all in attendance an unprecedented glimpse at some of the Japanese, Korean and Global series set to debut on Disney+ through 2026 and beyond.
