From sketches that flow into moving stories to polished sequences crafted with professional precision, the competition opens up fresh possibilities for creators eager to push the boundaries of digital art.

The contest will award 20 Honorable Mentions, each receiving USD 1,000 in prize money and an official certificate. Each entry has the chance to be showcased at HUAWEI’s press conferences, art exhibitions, global campaigns, or highlighted across social media platforms. Select pieces can even be immortalized as wallpapers in HUAWEI Themes or merchandise, bringing art directly into the hands of millions of users worldwide. In addition, winners will be given the chance to share the story behind their creations through video interviews, giving audiences an intimate look at the inspiration and process behind each work.

Celebrating Global Creativity Through Digital Art

The GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity 2025 calls on participants from around the world to submit original works across five categories: Digital Watercolour & Ink, Animation, Sci-Fi Art, Cutting-Edge Paintings, and Narrative Art. Each category showcases a unique form of artistic storytelling, spanning traditional-inspired brushwork, imaginative futuristic scenes, and expressive frame-by-frame animation.

All participants aged 18 and above may submit up to 30 artworks, giving creators the freedom to experiment and share their range of talents. All works must be created using any HUAWEI tablet. Submissions must be uploaded through the official contest website in JPG, PNG, or MP4 format, with original EXIF trait data intact. Image works should be under 30 MB at 300 dpi, while animations may be up to 400 MB with 1080p resolution.

Each entry must include a short description (30–100 words) to capture the story behind the artwork. Shortlisted participants may also be asked to submit a timelapse or process recording of their creation.

Honoring Artistic Excellence with Global Recognition

Winners will be selected by a distinguished panel of international judges who will review submissions through a multi-stage evaluation process, not only for their technical execution, but also for their ability to inspire, tell stories, and redefine what digital art can be.

Among them is Dezio, a French urban artist and co-founder of Urban Art United (UAU), whose works bridge contemporary street art and community collaboration. Alongside him is Laura Gallon, co-founder of the Arte Laguna Prize and board member of MoCA Italia, who brings her curatorial expertise to the panel. They are joined by acclaimed film director Jia Zhangke, President of the China Film Director’s Guild, whose cinematic eye adds a powerful dimension of storytelling. Completing the panel is Victo Ngai, a world-renowned illustrator recognized by Forbes U.S. and the first ethnic Chinese recipient of the Hamilton King Award from the Society of Illustrators. Together, their diverse artistic expertise and experiences ensure that every entry showcases the highest potential of digital artistry.
