Cebu City, Philippines — Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) welcomed the launch of the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) service, which now provides direct access to Il Corso at the South Road Properties (SRP) and Cebu IT Park, marking a major step in strengthening Cebu’s transport network. The system is expected to serve tens of thousands of passengers daily, improving mobility and making key employment and commercial districts more accessible to communities across the city.

The CBRT service began its introductory operations on March 13, marking a key milestone in Cebu’s efforts to modernize its public transportation system. The initial route runs from Il Corso at the South Road Properties to Cebu IT Park, traversing Cebu City’s main north–south corridor along Natalio Bacalso Avenue, Osmeña Boulevard, and N. Escario Street. Designed to operate at an average speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, the system allows commuters to travel between the SRP and Cebu IT Park in approximately 35 to 40 minutes, offering a faster and more predictable journey compared with traditional road-based transport along the same corridor.
The new system provides a more convenient and faster commuting option for City di Mare residents, Il Corso visitors and tenant staff, as well as nearby communities in Talisay, offering a direct and efficient route to Cebu City’s major business and commercial districts. This improved access expands the available labor pool for businesses, supports workforce mobility, and enables more people to access employment opportunities across key economic centers—contributing to a more dynamic and integrated urban economy.
Filinvest Land expressed its support for the initiative in collaboration with the Cebu City Government, recognizing that improved transportation infrastructure plays a vital role in creating more connected communities and enabling local economic activity. “The strength of a city lies in how well it connects people to opportunity,” said Tristan Las Marias, President and CEO of Filinvest Land. “Initiatives that improve access between communities and economic centers help support local progress and create environments where people can live, work, and thrive.”
At the southern gateway of the route is Il Corso, Filinvest Land’s waterfront retail development at the South Road Properties. Designed as an open-air lifestyle destination along Cebu’s coastline, Il Corso has become a gathering place for residents and visitors, offering a mix of dining, leisure, and waterfront experiences.
Through developments like Il Corso and its collaboration with local government partners, Filinvest Land remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen connectivity, power local economies, and contribute to Cebu’s long-term progress.
