Nonprofit wish-granting organization Make-A-Wish® Philippines is celebrating its 25th anniversary with wish-granting and fundraising activities, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to transforming the lives of children with critical illnesses.
With the generous support of the wish community, Make-A-Wish® Philippines has been able to grant 5,507 wishes since its establishment in 2000. The foundation continued its efforts with this year’s highlight event—the first-ever Swing for Wishes Charity Golf Tournament held at the Club Intramuros Golf Course in Manila.

The event also featured a charity art auction showcasing flower-themed artworks created by former wish kids—children whose wishes had been granted in previous years. Each piece told a story of hope and resilience, with proceeds dedicated to spreading strength and joy through granting more wishes. Attended by donor golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, the event became a heartwarming celebration of the foundation’s important milestone and its prevailing mission to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish® Philippines also held various creative fundraising efforts through the Create for Wishes workshop series, bringing together art enthusiasts and advocates to learn pottery, watercolor, crochet, and other activities, while helping raise funds for the foundation’s wish-granting efforts. The organization also partnered with theater group GMG Productions for special fundraising performances of “Come From Away” and “Dear Evan Hansen,” offering audiences the chance to enjoy these classic musicals while sponsoring wish kids.
Most recently, Make-A-Wish® Philippines held its first nationwide wish-granting event, Wish O’clock, across five locations in the country, granting the wishes of 25 wish kids in Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Baguio, Cebu City, and Davao City.
“We would like to thank everyone who made this an amazing year to remember for Make-A-Wish Philippines and our wish kids. Your dedication and efforts have helped us create precious memories for children with critical illnesses, and we hope for your continued support to make a difference in children’s lives,” shared Aleah Ortiz, Executive Director of Make-A-Wish® Philippines.
