October 24, 2025 – Marikina City — SM City Marikina is turning up the volume this Christmas season with its Rockin’ Holidays launch celebration! The mall officially unwrapped the merriest time of the year with a festive event filled with music, performances, and dazzling lights — marking the start of a swingin’ and rockin’ holiday celebration for families and friends in the East.
This year, SM City Marikina transforms into a vibrant holiday stage inspired by classic jazz and rock ‘n’ roll. The centerpiece features a lively musical setup starring Santa, Melty, Jingle & Jangle, Captain Sprucey, and Gifty as a festive band spreading holiday cheer. At the heart of it all stands a majestic 35-foot Christmas tree, illuminating the mall atrium in dazzling lights and completing the joyful Rockin’ Holiday vibe.
The launch event showcased a line-up of musical performances including violinist Michaela Torres, the talented choir ADHIKA from St. Scholastica’s Marikina, and the Nutcracker Rock musical by Madison performers — blending timeless Christmas melodies with a fun, modern twist. The ceremonial lighting was equally rockin’, as VIP guests joined in the countdown while strumming guitars and wearing lighted glasses, symbolizing the bright and playful spirit of the season.
Among the special guests who joined the celebration were Marikina City Mayor Marjorie Ann “Maan” Teodoro, First District Congressman Marcy Teodoro, and members of the Marikina City Council. Also in attendance were students from St. Scholastica’s Marikina who helped bring youthful energy to the event. Representing SM Supermalls were SAVP for Operations Ronald Allan Brosas, Regional Operations Head Don Edward Vijandre, Area Marketing Head Ma-ann Hipol, Regional Marketing Head Khristine Lenon, and Mall Manager Francis Brian Cruz.
Hosted by Janeena Chan, the night was filled with music and the unmistakable joy of the holidays — officially kicking off the Rockin’ Holidays at SM City Marikina.
