Last year I included Mad Hatter Day in my list of OPM acts to watch out for <\/i>blog post<\/a><\/b>. Since then they have played for Bazooka Rocks II opening for foreign bands like\u00a0All Time Low, Tonight Alive, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Anberlin among others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>

They have played in a number of music festivals like The Greenlight Music <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Fest, Jack Daniels’ Indie Fest and they have recently been on TV and have also featured on the Philippine Star (article here<\/a><\/b>) and now they’ve joined The Yellow Room Music\u00a0Philippines<\/a><\/span><\/b> an Independent Record Label for both professional and amateur musicians.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Ever since I saw their video Finding Atlantis on Youtube – I was so\u00a0enamored with this them that we’ve been following them ever since. I even did a review<\/a><\/b> for their EP – Alice in Distress.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>With this exciting news, I sent some questions over to the guys just to check on them at this promising point in their career.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>How are you all doing?<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>How does it feel to be part of The Yellow Room Music Philippines?<\/span><\/b>

<\/span>It feels great to be a part of the Yellow Room family! We’re all really happy and excited!<\/span>

<\/span>Is it safe to assume that you guys will be coming with more music? More gigs? An album maybe?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Our goal is to hit the ground running so yes it is safe to assume that we are going back to the studio to record a new EP and we’ve already started writing songs for our first album. We plan on recording all of our new material at the Yellow Room studio!<\/span>

<\/span>How will <\/span>all this<\/i> change your creative process in making music?\u00a0<\/span><\/b>

<\/span>One of the best things about Yellow Room is that they understand their artists, they are willing to work with us on every step of the way. However, our creative process will likely remain the same unless we find a new one that works better for us.<\/span>

<\/span>You guys are still in school \u2013 with this big change in your band how do you plan on doing a balancing act with school, music and of course still keeping healthy ties with family and friends?<\/b><\/span>

<\/span>We will continue to do what we have been doing since the beginning. Keeping a balanced schedule is paramount. With that said, we have already planned ahead and we’re prepared for the changes coming our way.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>When you guys get together to practice or write music are there any rituals you like doing? Food you like eating maybe?<\/b><\/span>

<\/span>Nothing much in particular. Before rehearsals or songwriting sessions, we usually hang out, play video games and eat whatever we feel like eating. You can’t be too stressed in the practice room and you can’t be too relaxed either.<\/span>

<\/span>Any pre-gig or pre-show traditions? Either as a band or individually?<\/b><\/span>

<\/span>Right before playing, we do a quick huddle as a band and pray together \ud83d\ude42<\/span>

<\/span>What can we expect from the band in the latter part of 2014?\u00a0<\/b><\/span>

<\/span>Now that we’re part of Yellow Room, we’re really excited to reach a wider audience. Expect more gigs, out of town shows and a new acoustic EP! Oops did I say that out loud? Haha!\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Any message to your fans and followers? What about to those who are just about to get to know your band?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>We’d like to thank everyone who have supported us along the way especially our friends from the MHD street team! We hope our new friends will stick around because this is just the beginning!\u00a0<\/span>
