So it’s only 7 days before The Wolverine shows in Cinemas (July 25). If you have been following the blog you would notice that I already have a couple<\/a> of posts<\/a> featuring the upcoming stand alone sequel. So I won’t be blogging about the movie itself but this fun event that Paul and I got invited to attend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This was actually my first assignment as a GeekMatic<\/a> contributor so I was doubly excited. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Keeping with the theme of the event, the cocktails that were served had ‘sake’ since ‘The Wolverine’ is set in Japan. Paul just loved that!\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
<\/div>\n
So this was the ‘Be the Wolverine Kinect Experience’ where guests were encouraged to play The Wolverine game on X-Box \ud83d\ude42 and was held in Robinson’s Cinema World.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was a really fun game since you would really get ‘The Wolverine’ experience since you are on board a moving bullet train and slashing through signs and bad guys. Guests were challenged in a good old – highest score wins match!\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Both the gents and the ladies stepped up to give it a go – oh did I mention that limited edition ‘The Wolverine’ items were up for grabs as well as movie posters for those who got the five highest scores? \ud83d\ude1b That just made the deal even sweeter for the eager guests who took turns getting that Wolverine experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

For those of you who want to get that Wolverine experience also – fret not since the game will be available in a number of Robinson’s Cinemas (Robinson’s Movieworld<\/a>) Check out the Schedule and details below!\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I also tried the game, after the winners were announced and all- I got a pretty high score and would have easily been in the top 5 – too bad I didn’t join \ud83d\ude1b but it did give me pretty sore arms even a day after! But it’s still a good exercise to tone those arms \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/span>

I was really impressed because the event was really well thought out off, even serving Japanese dishes (from Yoshinoya and Miso-Ten) and cocktail drinks packed with Sake in them, in keeping with the theme of the movie which is set in the good old Rising Sun – Japan!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Yep – Logan has always been the lady’s man. Who can resist that pectoralis major?\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
