I thought that it was just natural that “Endgame” would wrap up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so when I it’s heard that it was going to be “Spider-Man: Far From Home that would do so, I was doubtful and skeptical at first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now that I’ve seen “Far From Home” I am beyond convinced that Marvel Studios have once again hit the nail on the head. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picking up after the events of “Endgame” but with an overall different tone (off the bat, the first sequence will already have you roaring with laughter) because this is Spider-Man during his high school years and told from his perspective, which means also being presented with his dilemmas and priorities and after being “snapped” or “blipped” rather and sort of, missing five years of his life (in a way). Peter Parker (Tom Holland) just wants to enjoy his upcoming European trip with his class, where he also plans on confessing his feelings for MJ (Zendaya).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its amusing to note that the film shows us a reversal of roles since Peter has wanted nothing more than to be an Avenger (even to the point of pestering Happy (Jon Favreu) about it, calling him constantly and giving reports of his “heroic acts” (as seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming) but now Peter is “ghosting” Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) since all he wants to do is to be a regular guy and get the girl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess, getting “snapped” on his first day as an Avenger really put things in perspective eh? <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course their summer vacation (its funny they keep on saying “trip” supposedly its an educational trip, but I don’t think the kids learned anything….”educational” oh well) is hijacked when creatures known as the “elementals” appear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter Quentin Beck A.K.A. “Mysterio” who is working with Nick Fury and a sort of smaller scale of S.H.I.E.L.D as they try to defeat these “elementals” who are currently and coincidentally wrecking havoc on Peter’s vacation and subsequent plans to get Zendaya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You know those magic tutorials that show you how a magic trick was done? In “Far From Home” when the reveal was going down, its a mix between, Wow! They were able to put that in there! Its amazing! <\/em>Then, there are short instances where its like “Really?!” <\/em>and I think that, its my only nitpick about the movie, I know its weird that my only sort-of critic about the film is not even entirely a solid complaint, just something in passing that you think about but easily forgive, given how incredible everything else is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminiscent of those teenage movies “Far From Home” gets a fun twist because its also a superhero movie<\/em><\/strong> filled with edge of your seat action and impressive CGI and because it follows the events of “Endgame” it also deals with themes of grief and loss as Peter struggles to come to terms with Tony Stark’s death and the role that he should play in the aftermath. There is a particular scene in there that gets me choked up and makes me want to try (I’m not saying what it is!) but yes, aside from the film being super funny, there are also some points which will just make you go “awwwwwww”<\/em> and just explode with so much feelings and emotion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world is looking for the next Iron Man and Peter knows its not him, feeling the pressure and with big “iron” shoes to fill, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man must step up on a bigger stage and get ready to take on the bigger stakes – before its all too late. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.5\/10 – Spider-Man: Far From Home has two end credit scenes (one in the middle and one in the very end) so stay until the screen goes entirely black! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
