After memorable performances in Baby Driver and Hobbs &amp; Shaw, she now stars opposite Vin Diesel in Columbia Pictures\u2019 action thriller Bloodshot (in Philippine cinemas March 11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Watch the film\u2019s new spot at <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vwiDDqfwwlo\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/vwiDDqfwwlo<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the bestselling comic book, Ray Garrison (Diesel) is an elite soldier recently killed in action, brought back to life as the super soldier Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins he\u2019s an unstoppable force \u2013 the strongest warrior the corporation has ever created \u2013 and able to heal instantly.  But in upgrading his body, the company is also manipulating his mind and memories. As he begins to remember his past life, Ray isn\u2019t sure what\u2019s real and what\u2019s not \u2013 but he\u2019s determined to take back control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gonzalez plays KT who suffered an injury in service that caused respiratory failure. She has been modified with a mechanical breathing device. \u201cIt was like heavy metallic breathing,\u201d explains Gonzalez, \u201cand I had to do a lot of work to break down the script, especially identifying the moments when her emotions show and her breathing changes. Wilson. \u201cI wanted a love story that the audience didn\u2019t see coming. I wanted her to represent a momentum shift. It\u2019s not at all him saving her \u2013 more her saving him, and in the end, they save each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDave has such a natural sense of emotion and how that fits into the movie\u2019s bigger questions of technology and the responsibility that comes with it,\u201d says Gonzalez. \u201cHe brings all of that into the movie \u2013 how technology is absorbing society and becoming our reality \u2013 and what that means for the layers of our characters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe role requires a very nuanced performance,\u201d says Wilson. \u201cAt times, she\u2019s putting on a show in order to manipulate him; at other times she\u2019s putting on a strong face to hide her feelings. And when she does fall for him, every time they erase his memory, she\u2019s still in love with him, and he has no idea who she is. She\u2019s strong in the same way that Bloodshot is vulnerable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Gonza\u0301lez appeared alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in Universal\u2019s Hobbs &amp; Shaw from The Fast and the Furious franchise.
