As its title suggests, THE PRELUDE<\/em> precedes Pink Sweat$\u2019s eagerly anticipated debut album, PINK PLANET<\/em>. Released now to mark the world-changing events of recent months, THE PRELUDE<\/em> showcases select tracks from the upcoming collection, including the powerful \u201cNot Alright<\/a>,\u201d available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Released last month alongside a carefully crafted open letter from Pink Sweat$ posted on his popular Instagram<\/a>, the track was met by critical praise from the likes of HYPEBEAST<\/a>, which wrote, \u201cThe pop-friendly cut features darker lyricism from the singer-songwriter as he touches on life as a Black person in America. With a distressing chorus that sings, \u2018I\u2019m not alright\/Fighting a war that I\u2019m gon lose\/I\u2019m not alright\/I can\u2019t do what they say I\u2019m supposed to\/I\u2019m not alright\u2019 and a painful verse like \u2018I ain\u2019t got no home\/I\u2019ve been roaming on this earth forever\/Please don\u2019t beat my soul\/Cuz that\u2019s the only thing I treasure<\/em>,\u2019 he gracefully narrates the terrifying environment Black people are born into.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pink Sweat$ will celebrate the long anticipated release of THE PRELUDE <\/em>with \u201cTHE PRELUDE LIVE<\/em>,\u201d a very special livestream event set for Friday, July 24th at 9PM ET\/6PM PT. The at-home performance will see the Philadelphia, PA-based artist performing tracks from the new release alongside favorites from his breakthrough EPs, VOLUME 1 <\/em>and VOLUME 2<\/em>.
