Which is probably\u00a0why I will always be thankful that we don&#8217;t live in a time of war and I will always pray that we (and my infant son) never have to do so.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Different influential people who have changed history are kind of like the heroes and villains in the movies we enjoy watching today (of course we have to remember that it is the victor who writes history, so a little extra research is always helpful <i>plus<\/i>\u00a0with the prevalence\u00a0of fake news on social media, we have to be <i>extra, extra <\/i>careful). One of our favorite historical figures has always been Winston Churchill. So just imagine our excitement when we found out that one of our all time favorite actors (the great) <b>Gary Oldman<\/b>\u00a0will be playing Churchill?!\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">We already knew that Gary Oldman would do an exceptional performance as Churchill, (as evidenced by his many nominations <i>and <\/i>wins for the role) what gave me <i style=\"font-weight:bold;\">more <\/i>reasons to love the film was the excellent writing and beautiful cinematography in the film.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;text-align:center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/teampcheng.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/02\/6a40c-dh-02255b1255d.jpg\" style=\"margin-left:1em;margin-right:1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/teampcheng.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/02\/6a40c-dh-02255b1255d.jpg?w=300\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">You wold think that just because its a war\/historical movie that it would be all talk and dialogue but the script is written in such a way that is witty and funny and keeps you awake. The transition of scenes, even using wide bird&#8217;s eye view landscapes keeps the movie even more interesting.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The film tells the story of the early days of Churchill as Prime Minister of and as Nazi Germany is sweeping through Europe, bringing the threat of war closer and closer to home and how he finds the strength to fight in the war and to not surrender, despite the many different pressures around him.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;text-align:center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/teampcheng.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/02\/a7f9e-dh-08255b1255d.jpg\" style=\"margin-left:1em;margin-right:1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/teampcheng.files.wordpress.com\/2018\/02\/a7f9e-dh-08255b1255d.jpg?w=300\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">A history lesson, worth learning &#8220;Darkest Hour&#8221; takes you inside the intense Bristish war council of WWII to the intimate confines of an occupied water closet; to the horrors of a doomed garrison.
