Dead Boys<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <strong>Another year like that and we\u2019d all be dead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Bad Medicine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Cigarette<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Our Funeral<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About <strong>\u201cAnother year like that and we\u2019d be all dead,\u201d<\/strong> FL\u00d8RE explains that the focus single deals with what life means to her: growing up, losing your loved one, letting go of love, living with depression, and overcoming personal struggles despite the odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the acclaimed German singer-songwriter puts it, the EP celebrates the beautiful tragedy of being closer to death, of being forgotten and nothing. \u201cIt&#8217;s so tragic, that it&#8217;s beautifully sweet,\u201d the experimental pop artist shares in a statement. \u201cBecause if it wasn\u2019t sweet, we&#8217;d all be dead by now. Sometimes, losing all hope is freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FL\u00d8RE\u2019s lyrics on ROMANIAC is informed by the pandemic, with its apocalyptic sentiments enveloping every word and visual frame. The promising newcomer admits, \u201cI wanted to capture the feeling of growing up in a teenage tragedy, how everything is rushing in high speed with an apocalyptic taste, but it&#8217;s a bit too dangerously quite in the chaos. Like the calm inside of a storm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song follows her last single \u201c<strong>Cigarette<\/strong>,\u201d which focuses on the self-destructive side of romance. Earlier this year, FL\u00d8RE opened the story of <em>ROMANIAC<\/em> with the first single \u201c<strong>Dead Boys<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Bad Medicine<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FL\u00d8RE<\/strong> writes songs \u201cto give this weird existence a meaning\u201d. Feeling like an alien for most of her life, she spent her childhood playing guitar, singing and dreaming of the universe. She\u2019s inspired by the darkness of growing up, the beautifully broken and the feeling of what it must be like when life begins. Or what it must be like when it ends. Or what it is at all. She calls herself a moon lover, who expresses the loneliness in her songs, revealing her touching voice telling stories about her own fragileness, devotion for unusual human beings and a broken love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 25-year-old not only writes about broken love or dreaming of the universe but also addresses issues like mental health. \u201cDepression is a serious disease which needs to be normalized and talked about, cause nothing kills you like your own mind,\u201d the pop songstress explains. \u201cAnd I&#8217;m so proud and feel so strong writing about mental health. For me it feels like you will never get rid of a major depression. It\u2019s about handling the demons and maybe even becoming friends with them<em>.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/glassefactory.com\/flore-super-bloom\/\">Glasse Factory<\/a> she points out that \u201cIt\u2019s okay to be not okay. It\u2019s okay to be sad and to feel alone and to be weird.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FL\u00d8RE<\/strong> has made her impressive debut in 2018, with the \u201cdark pop brilliance of Flowered Guts\u201d that premiered on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelineofbestfit.com\/new-music\/song-of-the-day\/flore-flowered-guts\">The Line Of Best Fit<\/a>. The track also earned rave reviews from indie music publication <a href=\"https:\/\/earmilk.com\/2019\/01\/30\/flore-rises-above-loss-with-heavy-lungs\/\">Earmilk<\/a> which describes her vocals as \u201ceuphoria that feels timeless and calming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides getting attention in the blog landscape, <strong>FL\u00d8RE<\/strong> is part of Spotify\u2019s <strong>RADAR<\/strong> program, got featured on Playlists like <strong>New Music Friday US <\/strong>on top of New Music Friday playlists<strong> in 20 other countries<\/strong>, Indie Pop, <strong>EQUAL<\/strong> GSA, Indie Womxn, Easy, and many more.
