Jeremih<\/strong>

He quickly rose to fame in 2009 with his Top 10 debut single “Birthday Sex<\/strong>,” a lewd lullaby of sorts that sounded like nothing else at the time, optimizing the\u00a0R&B<\/strong>\u00a0artist’s slinking vocals and explicit wordplay. SK8<\/strong>

At 15, you could find\u00a0SK8<\/strong>\u00a0in his room writing lyrics, and by his sophomore year, you could find him handing out CDs in high school. The 23-year-old moved to\u00a0Los Angeles<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0Omaha<\/strong>,\u00a0Nebraska<\/strong>, and linked with the venerable\u00a0Taylor Gang<\/strong>, first breaking into the mainstream with his\u00a0gold<\/strong>-certified single, “Like That<\/strong>,” with\u00a0Jack & Jack<\/strong>\u00a0and opening for revered rap icons like\u00a0Lil Wayne<\/strong>,\u00a02 Chainz<\/strong>, and\u00a0Rae Sremmurd<\/strong>.\u00a0SK8<\/strong>\u00a0began building a dedicated fanbase of dreamers who related to his message of seizing every moment long before his eventual move to\u00a0LA<\/strong>.
