SINGAPORE\u20146 November 2023<\/strong> \u2014Prime Video, today,  announced the cast for the Filipino version of the Takeshi’s Castle <\/em>reboot, starring Smokey Manaloto, Eugene Domingo, and Sassa Gurl. The beloved Japanese game show\u2019s reboot will be available on Prime Video in the Philippines, starting November 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smokey Manaloto, recognized as the original host of the Filipino episodes of the show, is making a comeback to the Takeshi’s Castle <\/em>universe. This time, he assumes the role of a  former employee of Takeshi, bringing back his signature snarky commentary and the insider\u2019s insight into the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining Manaloto is the top-tier comedian Eugene Domingo. Known for her impeccable comedic timing and versatile acting, Domingo is celebrated for her ability to bring characters to life with her unique flair. Representing all the resident chismosas<\/em>, Domingo is the resident marites <\/em>of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internet sensation Sassa Gurl all set to infuse an extra  dose of wit and laughter, as she joins the Takeshi\u2019s Castle <\/em>gang. After garnering increased acclaim for her sensational portrayal as the Drag Runner in the Amazon Original reality competition show, Drag Den with Manila Luzon<\/em>, Sassa Gurl has won the hearts of many with her contagious sense of humor and a commanding presence.  Expect to see her in her authentic self, ensuring that her fans and new viewers are in for a treat with her magnetic energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rounding up the cast is internet comedian Jun Sabayton, playing Shitake, one of Takeshi\u2019s henchmen, who explains the rules of the game. Each episode also features guest-star commentators, such as Maris Racal, Zanjoe Marudo, and Ketchup Eusebio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show is produced by Dan Villegas and Antoinette Jadaone, under their production company Project 8 Projects, and is directed by cult-favorite filmmaker, RA Rivera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Takeshi’s Castle<\/em> made its triumphant return with a global premiere in Tokyo earlier this year, the Filipino reboot promises to be a delightful fusion of comedy and nostalgia, embracing elements that resonate with local audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
