March 15th, 2024\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Multi-talented\u00a0artist\u00a0vaultboy<\/strong>\u00a0reunites with salem ilese (of\u00a0“mad at disney”<\/em>\u00a0fame) on his latest single,\u00a0“closer”.<\/em>\u00a0Dubbed\u00a0“the King of Sad Songs”<\/em>\u00a0by\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0vaultboy<\/strong>\u00a0is no stranger to being vulnerable and wearing his heart on his sleeve. The track explores the delicate dance of budding romantic feelings, described by vaultboy as the “blissful purgatory” between platonic friendship and a full-fledged relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You both know you like each other, and you both know where it\u2019s headed, but neither one of you has the guts to say it out loud. Salem and I wrote this song from personal experiences in each of our lives and so we hope people can relate to our stories.<\/em><\/p>\n“\u2013 vaultboy<\/strong><\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“This track is about the beginning phases of a relationship, and how it\u2019s both exciting and excruciating. The song spilled out of vaultboy and me during our session.
