PHILIPPINES, MARCH 21, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 The eight-episode second season of the HBO Original drama series House of the Dragon<\/em><\/strong> debuts Monday, June 17 on HBO and HBO GO<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series & Films, debuted HBO\u2019s first-ever \u201cdueling\u201d trailers at Series Mania in Lille, France on Thursday, March 21 as part of WBD’s announcement that Max will launch in Europe from May 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story. For global audiences, \u201cAll Must Choose\u201d their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on George R.R. Martin\u2019s \u201cFire & Blood,\u201d the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones<\/em>, tells the story of House Targaryen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House of the Dragon<\/em><\/strong> Season two returning cast include Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D\u2019Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Season two new cast include Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
