July 12th, 2024 <\/strong>\u2013  <\/strong>Fresh from the RADWIMPS <\/strong>WORLD TOUR 2024 \u201cThe way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace,\u201d <\/em>singer-songwriter and RADWIMPS frontman, Yojiro Noda<\/strong>, is thrilled to release the new song \u201cLAST LOVE LETTER\u201d <\/em>from his solo album, ‘WONDER BOY\u2019S AKUMU CLUB,’ <\/em><\/strong>set for release on <\/strong>September 25. The album is a collection of Noda\u2019s personal story with a total of 13 tracks, including \u201cEVERGREEN feat. kZm,\u201d<\/em><\/a> released this April, which features much acclaimed Japanese rapper kZm <\/strong>and \u201cKATATOKI<\/em>,\u201d a collaboration track with American rapper J.I.D<\/strong> featured on the game “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noda shares, “I am releasing my first album as Yojiro Noda.\u00a0I became a band member of\u00a0RADWIMPS\u00a0at the age of 15, and while the band remains\u00a0the core of my musical existence, I started to wonder what it\u2019s like to play around carelessly and freely and swim through the ocean of sound with the approach that I can only try at present time. So for the past 2 years, when I found time, I created music,\u00a0trying out different things and ended up with these 13 songs through struggles and many moments when I almost gave up.\u00a0The process was fun. I wasn\u2019t trying to write good songs, but I think I created a great album.\u00a0I want to thank\u00a0Kuwahara\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Takeda\u00a0<\/strong>who participated in a few of the tracks, and HOLLY for giving me the idea to start working on this album.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

As part of this exciting release, the Limited Edition CD comes with a T-shirt featuring the original character\u00a0“AKUMU-KUN”\u00a0<\/em>created by the manga artist and illustrator\u00a0Posuka Demizu<\/a>. Originated from Noda\u2019s idea to express his solo project with an icon that can freely embody his music, through numerous exchanges of ideas between\u00a0Demizu and Noda, the one-and-only\u00a0\u201cAKUMU-KUN\u201d\u00a0<\/em>came into life as universal and invincible character based on the image of Noda as a model. The Vinyl edition of the album and worldwide digital release are also set for September 25 with more info to be revealed soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
