Teleperformance joins the Philippine Business and Disability Network\u2019s (PBDN) third annual conference, discussing current issues on workplace accessibility and inclusivity for Persons with Disabilities<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Pasay City, Metro Manila \u2013 Teleperformance in the Philippines was among a growing roster of advocates and sponsors of the Philippine Business and Disability Network\u2019s (PPBDN) third annual conference on Disability Inclusion in the Workplace, which was recently held at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Themed \u201cWorking Beyond Barriers: When Social Good Meets Business Sense,\u201d the conference brought together policymakers, advocates, and leaders from various organizations in the country to discuss and promote disability inclusion in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aileen Sibal, a Deaf employee and a member of TP\u2019s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, shared with attendees her insights on Teleperformance\u2019s journey toward a more diverse and inclusive workplace in the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt Teleperformance in the Philippines, we ensure that Filipino Sign Language (FSL) interpreters are available at all our events. We encourage our leaders and employees nationwide to take formal FSL lessons,\u201d said Aileen Sibal, TP HR associate, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team member, and leader of TP\u2019s deaf community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TP officially joined the Philippine Business and Disability Network back in September 2020. In a move to further support disability inclusion, Teleperformance in the Philippines pledged to support the implementation of an annual disability sensitivity training for all its employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 As part of Teleperformance\u2019s current partnership with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS)[1]<\/sup><\/a>, Teleperformance will act as a Host Training Establishment for the DLS-CSB Student Internship Program, giving Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies students practical experience in visual media arts, entrepreneurship, and business outsourcing and services management at its business centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robie Ner Monasillo, one of the deaf interns, expressed her motivation for joining Teleperformance, saying, \u201cI think I can learn a lot here and gain valuable experience for my future. I hope to improve my graphic skills for professional development and contribute to the company.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vee Jahnsen Agatep, another intern, highlighted the importance of the training for improving his design skills and securing future employment, adding,<\/em> \u201cI hope I can contribute to the company and apply for a permanent role here in the future.\u201d Archie Drilon also shared their eagerness to learn video editing and graphic design, stating, \u201cI want to use these skills for marketing, advocacy, and to help the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the organization\u2019s Citizen of the World\u2019s (COTW)[1]<\/sup><\/a> initiatives, Teleperformance in the Philippines will be launching its 2nd run of Project Echo<\/em>.
