MANILA, August 30, 2024 \u2013 Christmas is coming even earlier this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRed One<\/strong>,\u201d the star-studded action-adventure comedy led by Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans<\/strong>, will hit local cinemas one week earlier than originally scheduled. \u201cRed One\u201d opens in Philippine cinemas November 6<\/strong>, nine days ahead of the film\u2019s US opening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides \u201cRed One,\u201d Warner Bros. Pictures\u2019 stacked end-of-year lineup includes \u201cJoker: Folie a Deux<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cSuper\/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cThe Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cBeetlejuice Beetlejuice<\/strong>.\u201d The sequel to the 1988 cult classic \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d earned director Tim Burton, Michael Keaton and the rest of the film\u2019s powerhouse cast a nearly four-minute standing ovation<\/strong> at its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival<\/strong> on August 29. <\/p>\n\n\n

Rounding out the studio\u2019s 2024 Philippine lineup are new acquisitions from Asia, including \u201cI, the Executioner<\/strong>,\u201d a Korean action movie starring Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in<\/strong>, opening in Philippine cinemas September 25<\/strong>. Directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, this film is a sequel to the 2015 box-office hit \u201cVeteran,\u201d which was also directed by Ryoo and starred Hwang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moviegoers in search of Thai films can look forward to the sci-fi time travel epic \u201cTaklee Genesis: Worlds Collide<\/strong>\u201d in September, and fans of Japanese titles can now save the date for anime \u201cThe Colors Within<\/strong>\u201d in October and horror movie \u201cAnoko Wa Daare<\/strong>,\u201d from the director of \u201cJu-on,\u201d in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
