Director Ryoo Seung-wan\u2019s new action crime movie \u201cI, the Executioner,\u201d starring Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in, has garnered global attention by receiving consecutive invitations to the Cannes Film Festival in May, and the Toronto International Film Festival this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officially selected for the Midnight Screening section of the 77th Festival de Cannes, \u201cI, the Executioner\u201d made its world premiere to widespread acclaim from international media. Ryoo, who received his first invitation to Cannes in 19 years since \u201cCrying Fist,\u201d expressed his deep gratitude, stating, \u201cIt took 50 years to get here (Lumi\u00e8re Theatre).
