(November 20, 2024) <\/strong>\u2013 The Walt Disney Company\u2019s creative momentum was on full display at the 2024 Disney APAC Content Showcase today, with an immersive presentation of its 2025-2026 theatrical and streaming slate that transported audiences to new worlds and new stories. The star-studded event at Singapore\u2019s iconic Marina Bay Sands saw the world-class storytelling engines of the company take center stage with exclusive previews of highly anticipated releases and major title announcements from its award-winning creative studios, including Disney, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day one delighted those in attendance with a surprise virtual appearance from Marvel Studios\u2019 President Kevin Feige and an in-person appearance from Captain America Brave New World <\/em>star Anthony Mackie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s event saw the unveiling of several previews and sneak peeks never seen before in APAC, including song previews from upcoming movies Mufasa: The Lion King<\/em>, Disney\u2019s Snow White <\/em>and Moana 2; <\/em>and first looks at Disney\u2019s TRON: Ares, <\/em>Walt Disney Animation Studios\u2019 Zootopia 2, <\/em>Pixar\u2019s Hoppers <\/em>and Dream Productions; <\/em>Lucasfilm\u2019s The Mandalorian and Grogu, <\/em>Marvel Television\u2019s Daredevil: Born Again<\/em>, Marvel Studios\u2019 The Fantastic Four: First Steps, <\/em>and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf          Mufasa: The Lion King <\/strong>\u2013 Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King <\/em>enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Today\u2019s showcase featured a special message from Mufasa: The Lion King <\/em>director Barry Jenkins and an APAC-first screening of upcoming original song \u201cI Always Wanted A Brother\u201d. Mufasa: The Lion King <\/em>is set to premiere in theaters December 20, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf          Disney\u2019s Snow White <\/strong>\u2013 A live action reimagining of the classic tale, today\u2019s showcase featured a special message from Snow White actress Rachel Zegler and an APAC-first preview of \u201cWhistle While You Work\u201d for this movie which is set to premiere in theaters March 21, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf          Lilo & Stitch <\/strong>\u2013 A live-action reimagining of the animated classic about a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps mend her broken family. Today\u2019s showcase featured a preview of Stitch\u2019s new look for this upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters May 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf          TRON: Ares <\/strong>\u2013 This upcoming movie follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind\u2019s first encounter with A.I. beings. Today\u2019s showcase featured a special message from Ares actor Jared Leto and an APAC-first preview from the movie which is set to premiere in theaters October 10, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20th<\/sup> Century Studios<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf          The Amateur <\/strong>\u2013 A captivating story about a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible. Today\u2019s showcase featured a special message from Rami Malek who plays Charlie Heller and a trailer from the upcoming movie set to premiere in theaters April 11, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. \u25cf          A Complete Unknown <\/strong>\u2013 New York, early 1960s. Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota<\/p>\n\n\n\n

arrives in the West Village with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. \u25cf     Zootopia 2 <\/strong>\u2013 On November 26, 2025, detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. A preview of part of this upcoming movie was highlighted as part of today\u2019s showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pixar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf     Elio <\/strong>– Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination, finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be. Elio debuts in theaters on June 13, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An APAC-first preview of this upcoming series set to debut on Disney+ December 11, 2024, was featured during today\u2019s showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
