Compared to other CME programs, the MEM incorporates actual patients <br>into the learning experience, providing hands-on, real-world training.<br><br>\u201cWe\u2019re truly honored to be recognized by Healthcare Asia. Since launching MedEthix\u2019s Women\u2019s Health <br>division in 2015, we have remained steadfast in improving reproductive health for Filipino women, <br>especially for underserved conditions like endometriosis. This really fueled our commitment to create a <br>program for better endometriosis treatment that would help both the medical community and patients <br>alike,\u201d shared Monaliza Salian, President and CEO of MedEthix Inc.<br><br>Endometriosis significantly impacts quality of life, primarily through chronic pelvic pain and infertility. <br>Alarmingly, according to published literature, proper diagnosis takes an average of 6.5 years, mainly due <br>to misconceptions that chronic pelvic pain is just normal dysmenorrhea. Many patients seek help only <br>when pain becomes severe or infertility becomes a concern. In the Philippines, while obstetrician- <br>sonologists are san a sizable number of obstetrics patients, they have lesser exposure when it comes to <br>diagnosing and managing complex gynecologic conditions such as endometriosis.<br><br>Established by Monaliza Salian and Vasant Salian in 2009 along with a partnership with Ayala Healthcare <br>Holdings in 2019 under the Salian Group of Companies, MedEthix Incorporated is a Philippine-based <br>pharmaceutical importation and distribution firm whose mission is to contribute to the nation\u2019s goal of <br>attaining universal healthcare by providing Filipinos better access to affordable healthcare products and <br>more humane solutions \u2013 to heal always and in all ways.<br><br>MedEthix spearheaded the MEM alongside Dr. Nelinda Catherine P. Pangilinan, a renowned sonologist, <br>to help Filipinos in this plight. The program aims to train sonologists through didactics on the <br>management and diagnosis of endometriosis, capped by actual patient diagnosis and outpatient <br>management. The training also integrates real patient cases, ensuring participants gain practical insights <br>beyond textbooks and journals.<br><br>The program\u2019s faculty is composed of esteemed consultants from the RMC Department of Obstetrics and <br>Gynecology and its Section of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Under the leadership of Dr. <br>Pangilinan, the current chair of the Ultrasound Committee of the Asia and Oceania Federation of <br>Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOFOG), and supported by two other former presidents of the Philippine Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (PSUOG), the section is highly regarded as one of<br>the most respected in the Philippines.<br><br>Held twice a year, MedEthix offers an intensive two-day CME program. 16 doctors and 16 patients are <br>selected for each session, combining hands-on training with real-time diagnosis and treatment. Delegates <br>are strategically chosen nationwide, focusing on underserved areas where medical services are most <br>needed. By incorporating actual patient cases, the MEM brings learning to life, going beyond theoretical <br>knowledge on the disease.<br><br>The MedEthix Endometriosis Masterclass continues to expand its reach, providing early diagnosis and <br>treatment for more patients. MedEthix envisions covering the entire PSUOG membership, which currently <br>stands at over 600 members, to ensure improved quality of life for endometriosis patients nationwide. <br>Through this
