The charming quartet of high-energy Swedes is defined as much by their endless optimism as their boundless talent. Their upcoming fifth album, ANGELS CALLING<\/strong>, due out October 3<\/strong> via Better Noise Music<\/strong>, combines big pop hooks and electro savvy with the heavy yet melodic intensity of trailblazing Swedish metal into a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOLENCE<\/strong> will hit the road later this year for a European tour opening for Nothing More<\/strong>, which launches November 7<\/strong> in Finland,<\/strong> along with Catch Your Breath <\/strong>and Ankor<\/strong>. \u201c\u2018Where Were You..?<\/strong> is a fast and fun song about a friend letting you down when you needed them the most,\u201d says guitarist David Str\u00e4\u00e4f<\/strong>. \u201cThe song really keeps the tempo up with a big chorus, modern production and a very heavy, bouncy and genre bending breakdown!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOLENCE<\/strong> returns with fresh visuals, a new look, and a retrofitted sound that combines the best of their past with a look into the future for both the group and the genre. \u201cFor some reason, I\u2019ve always felt like my time on earth is limited, as if I might die young,\u201d frontman Markus Vides\u00e4ter<\/strong> explains. \u201cOur music is about making the most of life, relationships, and passion before heaven calls us home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based out of Los Angeles<\/strong> and originally hailing from Sweden<\/strong>, SOLENCE<\/strong>\u2019s lineup consists of frontman Markus Vides\u00e4ter <\/strong>alongside <\/strong>guitarist David Str\u00e4\u00e4f<\/strong>, keyboardist Johan Sw\u00e4rd<\/strong>, and drummer David \u201cViking\u201d Vikingsson<\/strong>. ANGELS CALLING<\/strong> is the follow-up to their EP <\/strong>BLUE MONDAY<\/strong> (Better Noise Music), <\/strong>released this past January with three new songs: \u201cF**k The Bad Vibes<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d \u201cA Banger A Day Keeps The Doctor Away<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d and \u201cWho You Gonna Call? (Solence)<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d which Houston Chronicle highlighted in their \u201cTop 50 Best Underground Music Videos of 2024<\/a>\u201d list. It also includes two remixed versions of their hit track, \u201cGood F**king Music<\/strong>\u201d by Swedish-based producer MVRE<\/strong> and L.A.-based producer kodeblooded <\/strong>(Asking Alexandria, Charlotte Sands). The band have built a dedicated global audience on past tours opening for bands including Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills<\/strong>, Electric Callboy<\/strong>, We Came As Romans<\/strong>, and The HU<\/strong>, in addition to festival appearances across Europe<\/strong> (Rock For People Festival<\/strong>, Graspop Metal Meeting<\/strong>, Resurrection Fest<\/strong>, Tuska Festival<\/strong>, Nova Rock Festival<\/strong>) and the U.S.<\/strong> (Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Blue Ridge Rock Fest<\/strong>).  A SOLENCE <\/strong>performance is a participatory sport, with audiences encouraged to sing and bounce along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauded as one of Pandora\u2019s \u201cRising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023<\/strong>,\u201d SOLENCE <\/strong>have to date garnered over 358 million cumulative streams<\/strong> over 940k<\/strong> monthly Spotify listeners, and over 96 million<\/strong> video views since their formation in 2012. The band started by releasing heavy renditions of well-known pop hits from the likes of Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears<\/strong>, and Queen<\/strong> before breaking out with their 2019 debut album BROTHERS. It was quickly followed by their sophomore album, DIRECTION, which saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with \u201cAnimal In Me<\/strong>\u201d which became SiriusXM Octane\u2019s most-played track in 2020.
