August 1, 2025<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 Filipino alt-rock band Here & Now<\/strong> returns today, August 1, with \u201cHimala\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, a compelling new single that marks a turning point in their sound, direction, and artistic identity. Known for emotionally charged songwriting and genre-blending arrangements, the band now moves with newfound clarity into cinematic Filipino alternative rock \u2014 combining atmosphere with precision, introspection with accessibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, the band has quietly grown in both size and spirit, welcoming longtime friend and collaborator Allen Guarnes<\/strong> as guitarist and backing vocalist. His addition completes the six-member lineup, joining Paco Santos<\/strong> (vocals), Patrick Poblador<\/strong> (guitar\/vocals), Lance Camposano<\/strong> (guitar), Gab Palanca<\/strong> (bass), and Franco Aguila<\/strong> (drums). Lyrically, the song explores the duality of wonder and doubt: the experience of encountering something or someone that feels miraculous, only to question its truth. The line \u201cIkaw ang himala sa aking buhay\u201d<\/em> (\u201cYou are the miracle in my life\u201d) forms the emotional center of the track \u2014 part confession, part question. Repeated throughout the song, the word \u201chinihintay\u201d<\/em> becomes a quiet mantra, capturing a longing that is both hopeful and uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
