October 9, 2025. Manila, Philippines<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Grid comes alive in the real world as Disney celebrates the release of\u00a0TRON: Ares<\/em>\u00a0with its themed display at the SM North EDSA Annex Atrium. With the iconic Light Cycle as its centerpiece, the Grid-inspired setup puts fans into the futuristic world of TRON until October 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRON: Ares <\/em>marks Disney\u2019s bold return to its iconic sci-fi saga, an electrifying story that blurs the line between man and machine, exploring what happens when artificial intelligence crosses into the human world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Oscar\u00ae-nominated director Joachim R\u00f8nning, crafting TRON: Ares<\/em> meant honoring the film\u2019s visionary legacy while pushing it into new, timely territory. \u201cThe bar was really high,\u201d he shares. \u201cI wanted to design something new, but familiar. What drew me to the project was the mix of the digital and real worlds. Having a Program exist in the real world was interesting for me\u2014I hadn\u2019t seen that before. And the idea of Ares finding out what it means to be human was fascinating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Oscar\u00ae-winning actor Jared Leto steps into the role of Ares, a sentient program forced to confront humanity on its own terms. \u201cI\u2019m a TRON super fan,\u201d Leto says. \u201cIt captured my imagination and showed me a world I never imagined before. It was this combination of technology and creativity that really attracted me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining Leto is a powerhouse cast of equally acclaimed performers, led by Emmy\u00ae and Golden Globe\u00ae nominee Greta Lee as Eve Kim, Emmy\u00ae winner Evan Peters as Julian Dillinger, and Jodie Turner-Smith as Athena. The ensemble also includes Hasan Minhaj as Ajay Singh, Arturo Castro as Seth, Emmy\u00ae winner Gillian Anderson as Elisabeth Dillinger, Cameron Monaghan as Caius, and Oscar\u00ae winner Jeff Bridges returning as the legendary Kevin Flynn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
