Born in Quezon City<br>and raised in Antipolo and Bohol, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter embraces her multilingual<br>roots \u2014 speaking Filipino, English, and Bisaya \u2014 to connect with audiences through songs that<br>mirror strength, honesty, and heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs an artist, I\u2019ve learned to stop fearing rejection and judgment,\u201d DIONE shares.<br>\u201cFor 10 years, I\u2019ve been chasing this dream \u2014 to be on a big stage and share<br>songs I\u2019ve poured my heart into. Every phase of my music reflects who I am at that<br>moment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DIONE first gained attention with her single \u201cKodigo,\u201d a flirty \u201cdelulu love song\u201d about the thrill<br>of romantic imagination \u2014 a sonic blend of dance-pop beats and dreamy visuals that marked<br>her artistic rebirth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But with \u201cKalmot,\u201d DIONE takes an even bolder step \u2014 showing that pop can be lighthearted,<br>meaningful, and deeply personal all at once. The single is inspired by her seven cats,<br>especially her internet-famous feline Tomomi, known for playfully biting DIONE while she sings.<br>\u201cPeople thought my last song \u2018Kodigo\u2019 was going to be about my cats because of<br>my videos with Tomomi,\u201d she laughs. \u201cSo I thought, why not actually make one?<br>\u2018Kalmot\u2019 is about my desperate love for them \u2014 I give them everything even if they<br>scratch, bite, or ignore me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond its catchy hook (featuring meows and purrs from her real cats), \u201cKalmot\u201d advocates for<br>Puspin awareness, adoption, and proper pet care \u2014 a cause close to DIONE\u2019s heart.<br>\u201cI want them to be called Puspins instead of Pusakal. I want people to stop referring<br>to our local cats in a demeaning way,\u201d she adds. \u201cThey deserve love and respect<br>like any other breed. My cats have healed me through life\u2019s toughest moments \u2014<br>they\u2019re my babies, and they deserve this song.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The single launch will also double as a music video and lyric video watch party, ahead of<br>their official online release on October 25. To celebrate this milestone, DIONE will host an<br>official listening and fundraiser event on October 24 at SideQuest: Caf\u00e9 + Hobby Lounge,<br>Estancia Mall, in support of The Cat House, a local shelter for rescued cats.
