February 27, 2026<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 The \ufb01ght is never over \u2013 throughout history, music has always been the perfect vehicle to initiate change and call-out injustice. Despite different backgrounds and musical sounds, artists have always found a way to unite and bring forth musical collisions that make a mark in the spirit of both groundbreaking creativity and sonic rebellion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which is why MAGNA <\/strong>is the perfect anthem of the year \u2013 a classic hybrid of thundering hip-hop rhythms, un\ufb01ltered lyrical assaults and brutal modern metal grooves, complete with tight riffage and double-bass drums. Yep \u2013 the way only MOROBEATS <\/strong>and INTOLERANT <\/strong>can deliver. The track \u2013 produced by DJ Medmessiah <\/strong>and Intolerant guitarist Joey Dizon <\/strong>and drummer Pepo Gohu <\/strong>\u2013 is a direct commentary on recent current events in the Philippines and unabashedly carries an explosive message to the people and the perpetrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe originally released a hip-hop version of \u201cMagna\u201d and shot a video at the Trillion Peso March<\/em>, where I ran into Pepo<\/em>\u201d shares DJ Medmessiah of the collab\u2019s beginnings. \u201cBut then I realized \u2013 there would be a lot more grit, and we could effectively pour more gasoline on the \ufb01re if we had a version with live instruments in there, so naturally \u2013 I invited Pepo, who is my longtime friend and musical collaborator; I knew his \u2013 and Intolerant\u2019s \u2013 capabilities to really push the musical direction to a more aggressive and volatile direction, and make the message more effective.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De\ufb01nitely not for the timid and faint-of-heart, the track features lyrical tradeoffs between a veritable who\u2019s who of the Morobeats collective: Dizzy D.<\/strong>, Naus<\/strong>, Buencamino<\/strong>, Prophecee<\/strong>, Malik<\/strong>, Teemo<\/strong>, Tofu<\/strong>, Miss A <\/strong>and, of course, Medmessiah<\/strong>, with additional scratching and sampling wizardry from DJ Wizard <\/strong>and a booming low end from Intolerant bassist Mic Gallegos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, the newly minted team up released the music video<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>for the track \u2013 shot guerilla style in the heart of Manila, in the streets of Raon in Quiapo, Manila. A de\ufb01nite traffic-stopper, the video captured footage of everyday citizens walking past the group performing, and casually stopping to check-out the commotion and ultimately, get \ufb01red-up as well. The video was directed by Medmessiah <\/strong>alongside Yans Torres<\/strong>, Carl Miranda <\/strong>and photographer Patrick Briones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt felt right to do the collab, considering that Intolerant had been inactive in the past decade,\u201d <\/em>reveals Gohu, when asked about the entire experience. \u201cIt was a good challenge to take-on, and we\u2019re excited to make more because of the results. We\u2019re also discussing to evolve this into a live set \u2013 and plan to make that happen really soon.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
