Iconic Filipino indie pop outfit Orange & Lemons<\/strong> are back with the upcoming release of their new single, \u201cToo Young To Be Old<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d alongside the announcement of a European tour set for May-June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The track explores the complexities of transition and self-awareness, capturing what vocalist and guitarist Clem Castro<\/strong> describes as \u201cthat strange middle space where you\u2019re no longer reckless, but not quite settled either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLyrically, it plays like a quiet conversation with your younger self,\u201d Castro explains. \u201cThe verses reflect doubt and self-awareness, while the chorus opens up into something more universal: the idea that age isn\u2019t just a number, it\u2019s a perspective you sometimes resist. It\u2019s not a sad song, but it carries a gentle ache.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the band\u2019s principal songwriter-producer, \u201cToo Young To Be Old\u201d was inspired by a relationship that made him more aware of time: how differently two people can experience it, even when they\u2019re in the same moment. \u201cThe song came from trying to understand that space and finding something beautiful in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced by Castro at his hybrid studio, LILYPOD AUDIO<\/strong>, the track balances analog warmth with modern precision. It also serves as O&L\u2019s first release mixed in Dolby Atmos<\/strong>, which is a surround sound technology that creates an immersive sonic experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Clem puts it, the latest release leans toward gentler textures, tighter songwriting, and arrangements that \u201clet the emotions breathe.\u201d It\u2019s classic in spirit, but contemporary in how it\u2019s framed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis track sits right at the heart of where we\u2019re headed. There\u2019s still that 60s\/70s melodic sensibility we naturally gravitate toward, but it\u2019s more refined now\u2014less about imitation, more about interpretation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new release also serves as a teaser of what\u2019s to come for their forthcoming new album, VISIONS OF AMBER<\/strong>, which the band promises to be a more cohesive, all-English body of work that hopefully connects beyond borders while retaining the essence of their signature sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In tandem with the release, Orange & Lemons are set to embark on a European tour<\/strong>, with stops in major cities, including Dublin, London, Milan, Madrid, Paris, and Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hanggang Kailan<\/em> hitmakers also expressed excitement in performing abroad, particularly for the Filipino community in the region, as well as new listeners from varying backgrounds and ethnicities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat excites us most is the contrast: You\u2019re playing for people who may be hearing us for the first time, alongside Filipino communities who\u2019ve carried the music with them wherever they are,\u201d Castro shares. \u201cThere\u2019s something special about that mix. For Filipinos abroad, the songs become a connection to home. For new listeners, it\u2019s a fresh introduction. That shared space\u2014where familiarity and discovery meet\u2014is what we\u2019re really looking forward to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the set list, O&L emphasized that it will be a balance of the \u201cessential\u201d or the songs people expect to hear and newer material like \u201cToo Young To Be Old,\u201d which marks a new direction in sound and discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe also paid attention to pacing, making sure the set moves naturally, with moments to lift the energy and moments to bring it back down. It\u2019s designed to work even if it\u2019s your first time seeing us live.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
