Today, the beloved Swedish popstar returns with news of a sixth studio album titled ESTRUS<\/em><\/strong>(out September 18<\/strong>),alongside the release of a lead single \u201cI\u2019m your girl right?.\u201d <\/strong>Watch theofficial music video directed by Nogari<\/strong>, HERE<\/strong><\/a>.  <\/strong>The video, shot outside S\u00e3o Paulo in a former monastery, features over 70 dancers and marks the second time Tove Lo and Nogari have worked together (Borderline, 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the song and video, Tove Lo shares: \u201cThe first song and video from my new album ESTRUS are out. I know you\u2019ve been waiting a long time and I hope it\u2019s worth the wait. The GRAMMY\u00ae nominated artist has also announced her 2026 ESTRUS TOUR. <\/em><\/strong>Starting in Nashville on September 15,<\/strong> Tove Lo will play six special North America release shows, including Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn the day after ESTRUS<\/em> drops.  She will then head to UK \/ Europe to play her largest shows there to date with more touring to follow in 2027. Support on the North American dates will come from Mallrat<\/strong>, with Cobrah<\/strong> joining for the New York show, while Rose Gray<\/strong> will join across the UK and EU leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After years of locating truth somewhere between hedonism and vulnerability, her sixth album ESTRUS<\/em><\/strong> (meaning female mammal in heat) dives into an even deeper, uncharted level of honesty. Inspired by The Knife, Robyn, and much of the Swedish indie dance music she grew up on, Tove Lo<\/strong> recorded the propulsive electro-pop of ESTRUS<\/em><\/strong> with her longtime collaborator Ludvig S\u00f6derberg<\/strong>, alongside Elvira Anderfj\u00e4rd<\/strong> and Luka Kloser<\/strong> (Addison Rae), and includes a standout collaboration with internationally acclaimed Belgian-born artist, writer, producer and designer, Stromae<\/strong>. The album was recorded in LA, Stockholm, and in a small fishing village in Sweden where she spent summers as a child and where she also made parts of Dirt Femme<\/em><\/strong>. Returning there brought everything back: \u201cgrowing up, being depressed, struggling with my eating disorder, going through breakups, family drama, loss, everything.\u201d<\/em> To get to the core of herself, she realized she had to return to where she was first formed. That messy younger self is still accessible to her, now refracted through time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the new album, Tove Lo<\/strong> reveals, \u201cEstrus is an animal in heat. It\u2019s primal. It\u2019s my mind and my body wanting different things, wanting everything. There\u2019s no good advice on this album\u2026 just a lot of feelings, no solutions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
