It was originally written for acoustic guitar as a very slow and melancholic song (post breakup hehe), but we changed the time signature, added some groove and funk, and brought it back to life. We\u2019ve grown so much as songwriters and producers, and it\u2019s always a fun time giving an older track a second chance.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The album stands as a landmark step in the duo\u2019s&nbsp;carreer:&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;We\u2019ve been making music for almost 10 years, and it\u2019s only in the last few years that we feel like we&#8217;ve really found our sound. This album feels like a culmination of all that time, all that searching, all that growing and learning.&nbsp;<em>The Touch&nbsp;<\/em>is the first time that we\u2019ve truly been able to express our songwriting and compositional ideas. Live instrumentation is a big theme for this project;&nbsp;with live string and horn sections, and live drums being&nbsp;new additions to our recording process. The music of the 70s and 80s&nbsp;have&nbsp;always been a big influence for us, and we\u2019ve been able to lean more into that with this project. You\u2019ll hear the inspiration of artists\/groups like Sade, Michael Jackson, CHIC, and Prince sparkling through the songs. The aesthetic of&nbsp;<em>The Touch&nbsp;<\/em>is something we put a lot of time into; inviting the listeners into this world that we\u2019ve created.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This release officially launches the album&nbsp;campaign&nbsp;
