\u201cBecause you said yes,\u201d answered Kidman, smiling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bullock and Kidman return to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic in \u201cPractical Magic 2,\u201d sequel to the beloved 1998 film. In the follow-up, the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem. \u201cIf I say it myself, we have great chemistry,\u201d said Kidman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A couple of years ago, Kidman asked Bullock if maybe it was time to make a sequel, but Bullock wasn\u2019t sold on the idea back then. In an interview with Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines, the two talk about what made them both get on board the idea of a follow-up to the fan favorite original. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cActually because of the fans \u2013 we actually both got our confidence with regard to \u2013\u201d shares Kidman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSocial media,\u201d chimes in Bullock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd the way in which people were almost demanding it,\u201d adds Kidman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAsking for it,\u201d says Bullock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhich was kind of lovely, like, it was in a beautiful way. And so, we listened,\u201d finishes Kidman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bullock says that fans asking them to do another \u201cPractical Magic\u201d movie felt different and special. \u201cYou never get the opportunity to do something where people really are asking you, please do it. It\u2019s usually us going to them saying, please like this movie. So that was unusual. And because of social media \u2013 which was relatively new to me five years ago \u2013 I didn\u2019t understand it,\u201d she shares. \u201cI didn\u2019t understand how something that no one really paid attention to when we made it the first time\u2026 Now the attention that was paid to it were those who were screaming the loudest. And we were like, well, you have to honor something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both are extremely grateful for the opportunity to go back to that world. \u201cI think there was a time where people would have said there\u2019s no chance that you can do this as women,\u201d says Kidman. \u201cBut now, where we\u2019re at\u2026 It\u2019s an amazing thing to have been given the chance to do this again. And do it our way and do it with love and desire, trying to really deliver something that\u2019s impactful and super fun as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adds Bullock: \u201cYeah, and make you really laugh along the way, \u2019cause sometimes these two [their characters Sally and Gillian] can\u2019t get out of their own way and you just have to let them. And by letting them you\u2019re going to get some entertainment that is both like watching an accident and knowing they\u2019ll be fine when it\u2019s over.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
