Its alumni include leaders across government, media, business, academia and civil society, among them journalist Howie Severino, former University of the Philippines President Danilo Concepcion and diplomat Manuel Teehankee. Dr. Tanghal now joins this network as part of the 43rd batch of Filipino Chevening Scholars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Dr. Tanghal, Chevening is the next step in a career focused on strengthening public health systems. A Medical Officer at the Department of Health\u2019s Bureau of International Health Cooperation, he works on foreign-assisted health programmes with development partners including the Asian Development Bank, Global Fund, and United Nations Population Fund.
