It should also be noted that the film was shot in Spain which adds to it being more genuine.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">My first thought about watching the movie was that they should have just had the dialogue in Spanish with English subtitles instead of having it in English but as the movie progressed I just got used to it.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">I guess it was having the dialogue in English which gave the film that <i>&#8220;History Channel Documentary&#8221; <\/i>feel.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><b><br \/><\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-qvB_UujztCI\/V508MGUUIhI\/AAAAAAAAN6w\/ssPpNI0lqV0\/s640\/blogger-image-958349781.jpg\" style=\"margin-left:1em;margin-right:1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-qvB_UujztCI\/V508MGUUIhI\/AAAAAAAAN6w\/ssPpNI0lqV0\/s640\/blogger-image-958349781.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">In the film, I\u00f1igo (Andreas Mu\u00f1oz) a brash and ambitious soldier dreaming of bringing glory to his family (he has some Daddy issues). After being crippled under cannonball fire, I\u00f1igo is sent home without the honor and glory he wanted but a broken leg instead.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">During his recovery I\u00f1igo finds Jesus and undergoes a spiritual conversion. He makes the decision to foresake his riches and travel on his own bare feet, just like the saints before him and the rest is history (not without some trials and tribulations of course).\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">Some scenes could have been trimmed down for a more concise narrative. It was actor, Andreas Mu\u00f1oz who really tied the movie together. He was a real presence on the screen and impressively portrayed both the brash soldier and the humble saint.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-Cm4gXNln0gU\/V508KOYGkPI\/AAAAAAAAN6s\/JtlPNn-PDIA\/s640\/blogger-image--965953452.jpg\" style=\"margin-left:1em;margin-right:1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-Cm4gXNln0gU\/V508KOYGkPI\/AAAAAAAAN6s\/JtlPNn-PDIA\/s640\/blogger-image--965953452.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">The movie has been acclaimed to his using state-of-the-art technology but we couldn&#8217;t help but notice some technical issues, such as camera focus and an over use of time lapse sequences.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<p>Post production was done in the Philippines and while the Castle battle scene was a little too heavily filtered you can also really tell where they used the green screens, some of it were a little <i>&#8216;cringy&#8217; <\/i>but still all in all a commendable effort.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">Kudos to the production of the film, even featuring music from Ryan Cayabyab.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\">5 out of 10. If you are a fan of history and\/or follow the Catholic religion. Then you should check out the locally produced film. I read on social media that this is like the <i>&#8220;Star Wars&#8221; <\/i>for nuns and priests and I think that&#8217;s just super adorable.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><b>Ignacio de Loyola <\/b>is now showing in cinemas and is distributed by Solar Pictures.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To me what is truly commendable about &#8220;Ignacio de Loyola&#8221; is the strength and determination it must have taken to [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8243","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.2 -
