ADAM DRIVER TAKES VICIOUS DINOSAURS HEAD-ON IN ORIGINAL THRILLER “65”

In Columbia Pictures’ 65, a futuristic action-thriller with monstrous creatures, Oscar-nominee Adam Driver plays Mills, an interstellar pilot transporting a large group of passengers through space, when an accident kills all of his passengers but one – a young girl named Koa.

What Mills and Koa don’t know is that the planet they have landed on is our own Earth – 65 million years ago. As they begin their epic journey toward their only means of escape, they are hunted by vicious packs of dinosaurs that stalk them across a dangerous landscape.

For Adam Driver, the chance to play a character whose physical battle to survive mirrors his emotional battle was impossible to resist. “Every scale of filmmaking interests me and no filmmaking experience is alike. This movie, 65, particularly seemed like a unique, big swing, because it was dinosaurs, so the scale was big, but it had room for thoughtful characters and big overall themes, while being extremely entertaining. When families go as a group to see the same film in a theatre, it’s a special thing to be a part of.”

Adam Driver garnered critical acclaim for his role in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, for which he received Academy Award®, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild nominations in the category of Best Actor, and also the Best Actor Gotham Award. Additional accolades include his performance in Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, in which he co-starred alongside John David Washington, and garnered Academy Award®, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild nominations in the category of Best Supporting Actor.

His other film credits include Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi; J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Star Wars: The Force Awakens; Shawn Levy’s This Is Where I Leave You, Noah Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories; Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln; and Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar.

In cinemas across the Philippines starting March 8, 65 is distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
