Redmi A1 Review: Big Bang For Your Buck!

We were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to try out the Redmi A1- even before it’s released!

Thank you to our friends from Xiaomi!

The biggest pull for the Redmi A1 is its insane affordable price!

The Redmi A1 is available at the discounted price of P3,999.00 from October 29 to November 13! After the promo period, it will revert back to its SRP of P4,999.00 – still not bad eh?

The Redmi A1 is so affordable that you can actually give it as gifts to your loved ones and hindi ka mapapahiya. Because for its affordable price, the phone performs very well.

First impressions upon its unboxing is that it comes in a gorgeous light blue color The Redmi A1 also available in light green, and black. The light blue and light green variants are perfect for Gen Z’s who want to flaunt a stylish phone.

The phone also an added tactile texture for added grip. Helps you hold on to the phone, so it doesn’t slip from your hand easily. It’s also very light! Weighing only 192 g!

The Redmi A1 is responsive enough so that you can do tasks such as playing mobile games (yes, its a task), stream Netflix, and other streaming apps (yes, also a task), and for students, it can be easily used for their online classes. The screen is large enough at 6.52 inches so that you don’t struggle with it, and the colors are also very vivid (720 x 1600 pixels) so that they don’t strain your eyes.

Aside from Gen Z students, the phone can also be an ideal gift for your parents, who may need to update their hand me down phones (hey, no judgement there). The Redmi A1 is big so they see the screen better, and also not easily misplace the phone and light enough so that their hands don’t get too tired from scrolling through their GCs (lam mo yan!).

Took some photos from the Redmi A1 and in fairness the double lenses 8MP camera captures some pretty impressive shots!

So all in all, we were really impressed by the phone’s features and performance given its affordable price.

Aside from Gen Z students, or your parents, the Redmi A1 can be your go to phone if you need a phone on a budget, that performs well and doesn’t break the brank. Whether we like it or not, having a smartphone has become a need not only for keeping in touch with friends, and loved ones (social media, Facebook) but it also serves as a way for us to stay entertained (mobile games, streaming). It has also become a need for students for their online classes, and entrepreneurs for their businesses. May it be an online shop, or a small owned business to track their deliveries. Even delivery riders need smartphones to get their day-to-day deliveries/services done.

P.S. Can I say that I love that the Redmi A1 has FM radio!
