Popular online content creator Joel Ravanera, better known as “Malupiton,” makes his film debut in He’s Dating a Bold Star, a romantic comedy about an ordinary man who unexpectedly falls for a woman whose life is anything but ordinary.

In the film, Malupiton plays Jeboy, a simple, cheerful man whose everyday life is pretty much ordinary—until he meets Kit (played by Analyn Barro), a beautiful and kind woman who unexpectedly comes into his world. What begins as an easy friendship quickly becomes something more meaningful for Jeboy, as Kit brings new colors, excitement and possibilities to his otherwise uncomplicated daily existence.
Kit, however, is not your typical girl next door. She is a talent and performer known for appearing in adult-content films, a part of her life that Jeboy initially knows little about. As their friendship grows and his feelings for her deepen, Jeboy finds himself entering a world far removed from his own and confronting the realities, assumptions and complications that come with falling in love with someone who lives in the public eye. Jeboy finds himself caught in a situation that may be more complicated than he imagined.

He’s Dating a Bold Star also marks a major milestone for Malupiton as the film is produced by NKO Films under the direction of acclaimed twisted comedy director Niokz Arcega, alongside the support of his friends and longtime collaborators.
