A manga that’s sold 24.5 million copies. A film that hit No. 2 on Netflix’s global chart. A TV series that topped viewership in 87 countries. That’s the world ONE OR EIGHT just stepped into, and the story fit them so well they didn’t have to force the connection.

The eight-member group has been confirmed as the voice behind “Yellow Brick Road“, the ending theme for Black Clover 2nd Season, premiering 3 October on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks, with the song itself dropping digitally on 7 October.

Black Clover follows Asta, a boy born without magic in a world built entirely on it, who refuses to give up his dream of becoming Wizard King, pushing through defeat after defeat alongside the friends who never let him quit. ONE OR EIGHT wrote “Yellow Brick Road” as a direct mirror of that story, their own version of betting everything on a dream that started in Japan and hasn’t stopped reaching outward since.

Member MIZUKI has read Black Clover since it first began serialisation, which makes this closer to home for him. “‘Yellow Brick Road’ is a song that reflects the parallels between Asta and his friends, who face challenges together and keep moving forward beyond their limits, and us at ONE OR EIGHT, as we take on the world from Japan together with all of our 1DERZ,” he says. “With the words ‘Go beyond your limits right here, right now!!!!’ in our hearts, we want to continue challenging ourselves and remain a group that keeps moving forward toward the world.“

The timing lines up with a run few groups get this early into their career. ONE OR EIGHT debuted in August 2024, and “Yellow Brick Road” lands as the group’s momentum keeps compounding: “TOKYO DRIFT” alone generated over 200,000 pieces of user-generated content and surpassed 300 million views on TikTok, while landing on the US Mediabase Top 40, a record for chart appearances by a Japanese boy group. The group also took home Upcoming Dance & Vocal Group at MTV VMAJ 2025 and New Artist of the Year at China’s 2025 NetEase Music Awards.

“Yellow Brick Road” is bringing all of that momentum directly to fans this year. “ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOWCASE 2026 in ASIA -V8-“ takes the group across Singapore, Bangkok and Manila this October, while “ONE OR EIGHT SHŪKAI 2026-2027 in JAPAN -2GATHER-” sets out to visit all 47 prefectures of Japan, a fan meeting tour built on the same philosophy driving everything else they’re doing right now: show up everywhere, for everyone.
