New single marks the latest project under the creative direction of multi Grammy Award winning producer Timbaland
(Manila, Philippines) May 28, 2026 – Tata Taktumi (“Tata”) has released her new single “Not So Bad” via Pacific Music Group (PMG), the Pan-Asian global music and entertainment company. Tata, the human led hybrid artist, was developed under the creative direction of multi Grammy Award winning producer Timbaland. The project underscores a clear philosophy: technology requires human intention, and creativity is still driven by real people. Stream “Not So Bad” here.
“Not So Bad” is anchored by Tata’s real vocals and performance, alongside creative direction from Timbaland. While the project has drawn global attention for its use of emerging technologies, the foundation remains deeply human, rooted in lived experience, artistic instinct, and hands-on collaboration.
Tata’s journey began in the performance world, initially joining the project as a dancer through the internationally renowned Jabbawockeez network. Recognizing her presence and creative potential, multi Grammy Award winning producer Timbaland saw an opportunity to evolve the role into something far greater. What started as visual performance expanded into vocal work and creative collaboration, shaping Tata into a multidimensional artist.
Guided by Timbaland’s visionary approach to production, “Not So Bad” explores how advanced creative tools can expand, not replace, human artistry. In the process, AI was used selectively as a reimagining and sound-design tool, helping transform and reinterpret original human-made musical ideas into new textures, arrangements, and sonic possibilities, while the songwriting, creative direction, performance choices, and final production remained human-led. Having worked with Rihanna, Madonna, Beyoncé, Drake, and more, Timbaland has long been known for pushing sonic boundaries and experimenting with new production techniques. His use of AI reflects that same spirit of innovation: using technology to accelerate experimentation and unlock new creative workflows while keeping taste, emotion, and authorship at the center of the music.
Quote for approval: “It’s an honor to be working with one of the greatest producers while also shaping my artistry through this process,” shares Tata. “This project is built on real performance, collaboration, and creativity, with technology helping expand what we can imagine. I’m having fun creating and it inspires me.”
