There’s a very specific kind of full-circle moment: waking up early as a kid just to catch an episode before school, then decades later, becoming the reason viewers stay glued to the screen once the story’s over. VK Blanka just landed that moment. Dragon Ball just made his new song “完璧のペキ Kan Peki No Peki“, the ending theme for “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus,” premiering in Japan on 11 October at 11:15pm (JST) on Fuji TV nationwide.

The Japanese singer-songwriter, who’s crossed 800 million total streams and played major anime conventions from Germany’s AnimagiC to Brazil’s 100,000-strong Anime Friends, wrote “完璧のペキ Kan Peki No Peki” leaning fully into his own signature: distinctive, offbeat lyricism paired with a polished melody that deliberately avoids sounding like a typical “anisong”. It sits close enough to the anime’s world to belong there, while staying unmistakably his own.

The single itself releases 14 October across two physical formats, CD+Blu-ray and CD only, with the CD carrying three versions: the original, an English version, and a Phonk version. The Blu-ray edition adds live footage from VK Blanka’s biggest tour to date, “VK Blanka North America & Japan Tour 2025,” filmed 24 June at Niterra Nippon Special Ceramics Civic Hall, alongside a photo booklet from the same show.

VK Blanka shared his own account of what went into the track: “I spent my childhood flipping through manga pages obsessively, waking up early every week just to watch the anime. Getting to be part of it now, as a musician, genuinely means everything to me. Dragon Ball has always carried strength and courage, but also the sadness and unfairness that sat quietly behind it. I put everything I had inside me into this song, all of it.

That timing lines up with a packed run for VK Blanka. He is kicking off “VK Blanka Joyride to 10th Tour” on 19 September in Sapporo, running six shows across Fukuoka, Aichi, Miyagi, Osaka and Tokyo through late October, with fans who purchase eligible merchandise during the advance sales window, held before general doors open at each venue, also invited to watch the show’s rehearsal. From October, he enters his 10th anniversary year, with more tie-ins and activity already planned.
