Eight Top Comedians Compete To Create The Funniest Video Possible In This Upcoming Eight-Part Series
PHILIPPINES (JUNE 25, 2026) — When eight of Japan’s top comedians are challenged to create the funniest video possible with just one laugh-out-loud moment, hilarity will ensue in The One Shot – a new Japanese Original coming August 12 exclusively to Disney+.
Created by Daigo of the popular comedy duo Chidori, The One Shot pits eight comedians against each other with a unique premise – each comedian is tasked with shooting a short film set in any location of their choosing .The comedians have complete creative control over their project, but each short can only contain one punchline designed to elicit the biggest laughs possible. Each episode of the series pits two comedians’ creations against each other until only one remains and their video is crowned the “Golden One Shot”.
The One Shot is created by Daigo and will debut August 12 exclusively on Disney+ with a total of 8 episodes.
