The Cagayan Valley region has recently gone viral online as netizens all over the country out cried for help. A massive dam had to release thousands of cubic meters of water following the aftermath of Typhoon Ulysses. Houses, agriculture lands, infrastructure became underwater as Cagayan River became swollen. Thousands of residents have been affected and some have lost loved ones.
Aid poured for Cagayan region as soon as the cry for help has been heard. SM Foundation together with the Philippine Red Cross responded as well by putting up donation boxes across SM Supermalls. Customers can drop their cash donations in a designated drop box at a conspicuous area inside the mall. #CagayanNeedsHelp boxes SM City Masinag, SM City San Mateo and SM Cherry Antipolo are located at their respective ground levels while SM Center Angono’s drop box is located at the Upper Ground level.
