In a first-of-its-kind moment, Kim Chiu surprised her fans with a rare vlog interview with rival noontime show host Vic Sotto posted on her YouTube channel.
The collaboration between the two TV royalties caused an uproar from their throngs of fans, with others clamoring that Kim and Vic star in a movie together.
The vlog showed Kim excitedly welcoming the “Bossing” of the Philippine entertainment industry, and engaged with him in a getting-to-know-each-other portion with the help of the timeless games ‘This or That’ and ‘Truth or Dare’.
Some questions asked by Kim made Bossing automatically answer “dare” were, “Sino sa mga anak ninyo ang pinakagalante (Who among your kids is the most generous)?” and “Magkano ang sinusweldo ng isang Bossing (How much is Bossing’s salary)?”
But there were two notably daring questions from Kim that Vic opted to answer. The first one was, “Ano ang pinakamahal na iniregalo mo kay Mrs. Pauline [Luna-Sotto] (What was the most expensive gift you’ve given to Mrs. Pauline [Luna-Sotto])?” to which he replied, “Pagmamahal… love!”
His answer to the other question, “Sumagi po ba sa isip niyo na pumasok po kayo sa pulitika (Did it ever cross your mind to enter politics)?” earned a lot of nods from netizens. Vic’s response was a simple “no”, followed by the explanation that he could serve as a public servant and help his fellow Filipinos without being a politician.
Made possible by the on-demand delivery platform Lalamove, the vlog collaboration between the two brand ambassadors was made more meaningful with their surprise for Lalamove partner drivers.
As a consequence of Bossing’s “dares”, Kim asked Vic to book six (6) Lalamove partner drivers via the app, whom they surprised with grocery packages for their families, along with biyahe essentials for their day-to-day jobs.
The vlog showcased the shock and kilig of the delivery drivers who saw the two celebrities upfront, armed with goodies for them and their loved ones. The surprised delivery drivers thanked Kim and Vic for the opportunity, alongside Lalamove for the gifts they received.
