Salmon Finance has recently earned a Client Protection Certification at the Silver Level under the global Cerise+SPTF Client Protection Standards, following an independent assessment by MicroFinanza Rating (MFR), an international rating agency.
But what does that actually mean for you as a customer?
It means an independent organization reviewed how Salmon treats its customers and confirmed that protecting them is built into the way it operates.
In practical terms, that means:
- Fair and transparent pricing
Your loans with Salmon are priced fairly and reasonably, letting you access credit without excessive charges. You also know exactly what you’re paying for. No hidden fees. No surprises. - Clear product information
Loan terms, costs, and conditions are communicated in a way that’s easy to understand, helping you make informed decisions, before you even take a loan or a credit product. - Safe and secure transactions
Your account and transactions are protected by strong security measures, advanced anti-fraud systems, and dedicated customer support that’s available 24/7. - Respectful treatment at every step
From application to repayment, Salmon customers are treated fairly, professionally, and with respect.
This certification is not easy to obtain.
Based on publicly disclosed Cerise+SPTF data, fewer than 100 financial institutions worldwide currently hold a Client Protection Certification. In the Philippines, Salmon Finance is one of only six active financial institutions with this recognition.
That means Salmon is among a small group of financial institutions that have voluntarily undergone rigorous independent evaluation against international standards for customer protection.
“As we continue expanding access to credit in the Philippines, we believe financial inclusion is more than simply providing loans. It also entails providing financial services that are fair, transparent, secure, and designed to help people move forward with confidence,” said Eunice Monsod, Chief Compliance Officer of Salmon Group.
